The Definox DPAX DE pneumatically actuated butterfly valve is a double-seal mixproof valve with a leakage chamber. Based on a two independent butterfly discs design, it ensures optimal process safety and safe separation of incompatible fluids thanks to a monitored intermediate safety chamber.The leakage chamber enables rapid detection of any seal failure, while the intermediate space can be flushed and cleaned (CIP) to ensure a high level of hygiene. This design helps control the risk of cross-contamination in demanding process applications.
Standardized with the DPX / DPAX ranges, the DPAX DE uses common components, facilitating maintenance and spare parts management. Available with flanged connections only, it can be combined with DEFINOX detection solutions.

The actuator is supplied with an integrated detection cam and a drive shaft enabling direct mounting onto the valve drive square.Depending on the selected configuration, the actuator can be delivered pre-equipped with a SORIO Basic wired control unit or SORIO control tops in wired, AS-i or IO-Link versions for valve position monitoring and control.

Handles are available for individual purchase to enable modular component stocking and quick replacement during maintenance operations, without requiring full valve replacement.The stainless steel trigger handle, lockable and multi-position, is designed for DEFINOX DPX and DPX EBC manual butterfly valves. Its multi-position system (5 intermediate positions + open / closed) ensures precise flow adjustment, while the padlock locking function secures the valve position during maintenance operations.The modular design ensures full interchangeability and allows quick handle replacement without removing the valve. The sleeve, available in several colors, facilitates process line identification.The handle can also be configured with position detection solutions: 0, 1 or 2 cylindrical M12 sensors for on/off detection or MVQ IO-Link rotary linear sensor enabling continuous valve position monitoring
A second handle version, called the micrometric handle, is also available. It provides an alternative enabling even finer operation and precise, repeatable valve position adjustment, particularly suited for applications requiring accurate flow control.
